Connectivity

Definition: The extent to which nodes (e.g., hospitals, patients) in a network are directly or indirectly linked through pathways such as patient transfers. High connectivity facilitates rapid propagation of pathogens across the network, while low connectivity may localize outbreaks. Related to network structure, weighted links, and hospital-based networks.
Synonyms: Network connectedness, linkage.
